I hate analogies, but here we go.
- Things are stormy, but there’s always a captain of the ship. As long as he’s in the boat, then things could be worse.
- Who the captain is matters. Is he fearful? Brave? Competent? Does he know himself well? (Capt Ahab might have avoided calamity if he knew himself to be obsessive)
- The captain has access to all information that all other captains have: real-time information on what’s going on around him, and two hands on the helm.
Stay calm. The sun is always beyond the storm, just waiting.
Take the waves as they come, and keep investing in the sun when it doesn’t show its face.
